ZBV R-Class Operator Hybrid

ZBV Image Analyst/Operator. This course includes covering basic X-ray theory and safety, overview of the ZBV system, and proper and safe deployment and operation of the ZBV. Classroom/theory instruction will be on line via LMS, hands on will be 3 days of training for up to 6 students. Course is 3 days hands on training for up to 6 people. Includes LMS license fee per student for access to LMS for 2 years.

Description

Introduces students to working as system operators on the ZBV x-ray inspection scanner, developing the knowledge and skills for safe, efficient and effective scanning operations. Operators learn all operational roles so they can proficiently scan vehicles and cargo, acquire high-quality x-ray images, and inspect them to identify contraband and anomalies. 

Objectives: 

  • Explain the radiation safety procedures used when operating the ZBV scanner 

  • Effectively and safely operate the ZBV system to obtain high-quality x-ray images 

  • Correctly use the x-ray image viewer enhancement tools 

  • Apply basic image interpretation techniques 

  • Demonstrate correct record keeping and reporting practices 

  • Carry out good equipment husbandry
