Itemiser® 5X Maintenance Certification

This newly updated maintenance certification covers the Itemiser® 5X. This certification covers Service Levels 1, 2 and 3 for these models. On successful completion, you will be fully certified to service the 5X on behalf of Rapiscan Systems for 12 months. This course does not include certification on the other Trace products, these are covered in a separate certification.

Description

Level 3 maintenance entails all repair tasks necessary to facilitate system repairs and ensure the system is performing per factory specifications.

Level 3 maintenance includes in-depth, “Lids-off” troubleshooting utilizing appropriate diagnostic tools, test equipment and the repair or replacement of system level components, such as electronics, pneumatics, and computers.

 

 

Learning Outcomes

  1. Identify and explain instrument configuration according to applicable Concept of Operation (CONOPS).  
  2. Show how to login to 5X using appropriate Login.
  3. Explain the Administrator user accounts, privileges. 
  4. Instrument configurations.
  5. Perform Calibrations as required by CONOPS.
  6. Describe Itemiser overview and theory of operation.  
  7. Demonstrate how to fit and replace Dopants and identify when depleted. 
  8. Identify features and assemblies and their functions.  
  9. Explain pneumatic diagram in 4 sequences of operation. 
  10. Identify Printed Circuit Boards (PCB) and understand their basic functions.  
  11. Perform a software upgrade using a ‘Magic Stick’.
  12. Complete a Site Acceptance Test and complete the documentation accordingly.
  13. Complete a Service PM Checklist and complete the documentation accordingly.
  14. Introduce and develop practical faultfinding.
  15. Be able to reference relevant documentation and manuals.
