CVIL Operator Training

Introduces students to the CarView InLane system and develops the knowledge and skills to become safe, efficient and effective operators. Students learn all operational roles (Image Analyst, System Controller, vehicle marshalling) to proficiently scan, acquire high-quality x-ray images, and inspect them to identify contraband and anomalies. 

Objectives: 

• Understand and follow all safety procedures, including radiation 

• Effectively operate the scanner to obtain high-quality x-ray images 

• Correctly use software/tools for system control, image management and x-ray inspection 

• Apply basic image interpretation techniques 

• Demonstrate correct record keeping and reporting practices 

• Carry out daily equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
