Car Z Portal Operator Hybrid

Z Portal Operator - 3 days of hands training for up to 10 students. Classroom/theory instruction will be completed on line via LMS prior to hands on. Includes LMS license fee per student for access to LMS for 2 years.

Description

Introduces students to the Z Portal multi-view cargo and vehicle screening system, developing the knowledge and skills to become safe, efficient and effective operators. Students learn all operational roles (Image Analyst, System Controller, vehicle marshalling) to proficiently scan, acquire high-quality x-ray images, and inspect them. 

Objectives: 

  • Understand and follow all safety procedures, including radiation 

  • Effectively operate the system to obtain high-quality x-ray images 

  • Correctly use software/tools for system control, image management and x-ray inspection 

  • Apply basic image interpretation techniques 

  • Demonstrate correct record keeping and reporting practices 

  • Carry out daily equipment checks and basic troubleshooting
