First Line Manager (Part One)

Part one of the Learning Academy’s first line manager training provides team leaders and new managers with some invaluable techniques for getting the best out of their team members.

This course provides a valuable introduction to people management. The training covers communication skills and team leadership, as well as introducing practical delegation techniques to help boost productivity.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

By the end of this one-day course, the participants will be able to

  • Explain their role and responsibilities as a manager and ways to motivate and enhance team members’ performance.
  • Give feedback to team members on their performance.
  • Demonstrate their skills in coaching team members to motivate and enhance performance.
  • Delegate tasks to team members in a clear, engaging, and supportive manner.

Prerequisites

This training course is designed for those new to management and team leadership, or those without previous training in managing other team members at work.
