ZBC-S Operator Training

ZBC-S Operator, This course includes covering basic X-ray theory and safety, overview of the ZBC system, and proper and safe deployment and operation of the ZBC-S. Course is 4 days for up to 10 people. Includes LMS license fee per student for access to LMS for 2 years.

Description

Introduces students to the Z Backscatter Checkpoint (ZBC) system and develops the knowledge and skills to become safe, efficient and effective operators. Students learn all operational roles (Image Analyst, System Controller, vehicle marshalling) to proficiently scan, acquire high-quality x-ray images, and inspect them for anomalies. 

Objectives: 

  • System overview; operational and radiation safety 

  • System hardware, software/GUI and workstation functionality 

  • Concept of operations (start-up, configuration, scanning, shut-down) 

  • Image inspection & analysis and use of enhancement tools 

  • Operator-level maintenance (pre-operational checks, preventive maintenance) 

  • Operator-level troubleshooting (fault indications, error recovery, reporting)
