Mini Z Operator Certification (1 Day)

MINI Z Operator training is a 1 day course that is designed to provide users with an overview & equipment familiarization. It will include classroom & hands on training.

Description

Introduces students to working as system operators on the Mini Z handheld Z Backscatter screening system, developing the knowledge and skills to provide safe, efficient and effective scanning operations. Students learn to safely operate the Mini Z, detect anomalies using the embedded image-analysis software, and understand how the Mini Z fits within a layered security screening scheme. 

Objectives: 

  • Explain the radiation safety procedures used when operating the Mini Z 

  • Effectively setup and operate the Mini Z to obtain high-quality x-ray images 

  • Correctly use the x-ray image viewer enhancement tools 

  • Apply basic image interpretation techniques 

  • Demonstrate correct scanning techniques 

  • Carry out good equipment care.
